Business Development Representative (Midwest Territory) - Long Term Care Pharmacy

Location: Crestwood, IL

Role description:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating and closing new sales opportunities and partnerships within an assigned territory.


  • Generate new sales opportunities through a combination of cold calling, phone, social, e-mail, conferences and networking
  • Achieve sales target
  • Consistently move opportunities through the pipeline to close new business
  • Discover and analyze prospect needs and provide solutions
  • Present and articulate MMP value proposition based on persona, operator and need
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers and influencer’s
  • Consistently and effectively utilize and update CRM
  • Stays abreast of market trends and shares information regularly
  • Actively participate in pipeline reviews and discussions
  • Collaborate and participate in professional and social events, meetings, conferences or any other company sponsored or supported event
  • Establishes MMP has an industry thought leader
  • Facilitate transition of new business to operations
  • Manage expenses in accordance to company guidelines


  • Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in communications, marketing, business or similar
  • At least 1-2 years of demonstrated sales experience, preferably in the Senior Living space
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to travel a multi-state territory including overnight travel as needed
  • Motivated team member with the ability to self-direct
  • Demonstrate good presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, and Adobe
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills with the ability to effectively communicate and influence others
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Able to multi-task and work under deadlines
  • Must possess a valid and current driver’s license and a personal vehicle sufficiently reliable to meet the requirements of the job and is appropriately insured
